The teacher – the vocation to pass on

Robert Nagy's motivation for teaching was not only the wish to pass on the heritage he had got from his teachers, but also to share his experiences and discoveries with the younger generation.

The teacher

Individual solutions

He laid the emphasis in teaching not only on the methods but also on the search for individual solutions. He is convinced that the extirpation of all technical problems can only be realized if it is based on a very strong conception.

Master courses

The results of the first master courses already confirmed his pedagogic concept. The rapid developing of his pupils inspired him to further deepening of this subject. An important step of his teaching activity was the acceptance of the professorship at the Conservatory of the City of Vienna from 1999 up to 2005. Robert Nagy so far sticks to his teaching, he regularly gives courses (Korea, Venezuela etc.), he gives private lessons and when being member of the jury of probationary performances he tries to help the young cellists.
